Heather Parry and Nell Stevens bring darkly humorous, gothic narratives to the fore in their new books, Carrion Crow and The Original. Parry’s spinetingling and grotesque tale explores mother-daughter relationships, sexuality, and class, while Stevens examines authenticity, creativity, money, and belonging with wit and originality.
