“Join us during LGBT History Month for the Glasgow launch of Fierce Salvage, a collection of stories, poems and memoir that provides a snapshot of Scotland’s queer community and LGBTI+ writing scene, and captures the variety of experiences that bind the community together. To accompany the launch, author Heather Parry has selected Nosferatu director Robert Eggers' atmospheric fable of mystical delirium The Lighthouse to screen at GFT.
The Lighthouse stars Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe as two lighthouse keepers trying to maintain their sanity while living on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s.
Authors Heather Parry and Eve Brandon will introduce the screening and give readings of their work from Fierce Salvage. Copies of the book will be available to buy after the screening.
There will be BSL interpretation and live captions for the introduction and readings. The film will be screened with captions (also known as descriptive subtitles).”
